YOU, and your self-image

YOU, and your self-image

Oct 1, 2022

How do you feel about yourself as a person? Are you positive? Are you negative? On a scale from 1 to 10, what number would you use to describe how you feel about yourself? Take a moment to rate yourself.

Whatever number you picked to describe your self-image also describes your willingness to invest in yourself. For example, if you rated yourself at a five, you will be willing to invest in yourself up to a five, but not more. That’s why people with low self-images do not make great investments in themselves. It’s not what you are that keeps you from investing in yourself; it’s what you think you are – or are not. You will never be able to bet on yourself unless you believe in yourself. Many people find themselves thinking like Snoopy, the beagle in the Peanuts comic strip who thinks, “Yesterday I was a dog. Today I am a dog. Tomorrow I’ll probably still be a dog. Sigh. There’s so little hope for advancement!” People are not stuck in dead-end situations when it comes to their potential. We have the ability to make tremendous advances. But first we must believe in ourselves.

Watch your Thoughts,
For they become Words.
Watch your Words,
For they become Actions.
Watch your Actions,
For they become Habits.
Watch your Habits,
For they become your Character.
Watch your Character,
For it becomes your Destiny.

What we THINK, we BECOME.
