Big or Small?

Big or Small?

Oct 28, 2023

If everyone has the same number of hours in a day, why do some people seem to get so much more done than others? How do they do more, and accomplish more? The answer lies in their approach – they go small. When your goal is creating the absolute best chance to succeed at any given idea, your approach should always be the same. Go small…and focus.

Think about this; Going small is about ignoring all things you could do, and instead, doing what you should do. It’s about recognizing that not all things matter equally and figuring out the things that matter most. It is the absolute way to connect what you do with what you want. You must come to realize that extraordinary results are directly determined by how narrow you can make your focus.in

The way you get the most out of your work and your life is to go as small as possible. Get focused, hone in on the task at hand, and excel. Most people think just the opposite. You want your achievements to add up, but the opposite occurs. You need to focus on fewer tasks for more effect, instead of multiple tasks with side effects.

Going small is a simple approach to extraordinary results, and it works amazingly well. It works all the time, anywhere, and on anything. Why? Because it has only one purpose – to ultimately get you to the point. When you go as small as possible, you will be starting on one thing… and that’s the point.

As both Gary Keller and Jay Papasan stated, “Where I’ve experienced the biggest success, I had narrowed my concentration to one thing, and where my success varied the most, my focus had as well.”
