Work Ethic works

H. Ross Perot once said, “Success breeds arrogance and complacency. Average people always beat the best and brightest.”  There is a sign hanging in the MANCO offices to remind all that shoe leather beats intellectual theory every time. You can be the smartest and most creative person the world has ever seen, but if you don’t have the work ethic to match that distant talent, you won’t get very far.

Work ethic is a set of values guiding both personal and professional behavior – encompassing integrity, responsibility, quality, discipline, and teamwork. It’s crucial for success as it drives productivity, fosters both employee and customer satisfaction, and enhances a company’s reputation. A strong set of values benefits organizations in several ways. It leads to increased productivity, as employees with a strong work ethic are more likely to be dedicated and committed to their work. A strong work ethic also improves employee morale. When employees see that their efforts are recognized and valued, they are more likely to feel satisfied and motivated.

Remember, work ethic isn’t a disease, it’s a gift…and the harder you work, the luckier you get!

Thomas Edison’s words ring so true: “Genius is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.”  Success is seldom found in bold strokes of genius, serendipity, or great fortune. Each of us love to hear those dramatic stories, but the fact is that most successful people earn their stripes through hard work and brute force.

“Winning means you’re willing to go longer, work harder, and give more than anyone else.”
-Vince Lombardi

“Success requires action and a strong work ethics.”
-Bob Proctor

“Successful people are not gifted; they just work hard, then succeed on purpose.”
-G.K. Nelson

“You can control two things – your work ethic and your attitude.”
-Ali Krieger

“The first qualification for succuss in my view is a strong work ethic.”
-Henry Ford
